ABOUT

Sue Rice and Narene Ignace have many years of experience both playing and coaching volleyball. They have decided to pool their talents to develop a volleyball academy that is open to all levels of players.

 

"Volleyball is such a great game we wanted to promote the game at the younger level and develop all players' skills. Providing them an opportunity to play at local, state league, national and international levels."

Sue Rice

Co-Founder

Sue Rice is a qualified Personal Trainer and has had volleyball running through her veins since she was 15 years of age.

​

She has represented Victoria  and Australian.  Has also played for the University of Houston. Currently Head coach at Volleyball Institute of Performance and Caulfield Grammar School. Was assistant coach for the senior women's Australian Volleyball Team and is an assistant coach for the Australian junior women's team. Awarded Volleyball Victoria coach of the Year in 2014.

Sue is excited to be taking on this adventure of building an academy, making volleyball available to all players.

Narene Ignace

Co-Founder

Narene is a qualified and experienced Teacher, Personal Trainer and Volleyball Coach. Playing Volleyball since the age of 16, Narene has represented Victoria twice in the first Australian  National League competition. 

 

Narene has coached the Australian Women's Maccabiah Volleyball team and represented Australia internationally. Narene  played for Heidleberg Volleyball club for over a decade.

​

Currently coaching at  Volleyball Institute of  Performance and Caulfield Grammar School. Coached the state u/14 Girls Victorian team 2019.

​

She has over 20 years of coaching local clubs and schools across Victoria.
